Pedal Pub Austin: The New Chapter for Austin's Famous PubCrawler

Austin, Texas has been home to PubCrawler of Austin for almost 14 years. They were the original party bike. Last month the Chamber had a fun time celebrating PubCrawler of Austin’s rebranding to Pedal Pub Austin. The purpose of their rebranding was to join a national team of people who know, as they do, the value of providing amazing experiences people will remember for years to come. The owners, Jennifer Nolen, Robin & Billy Lund will continue to provide top customer service to locals and visitors alike as always. They can still be found at their same great location, 1607 W 6th Street.

On February 13th, we hosted our 146th Annual Meeting at the JW Marriott. It was a packed house for the event, where we celebrated Dr. Richard Rhodes, our 2023 Austinite of the Year, and honored our Volunteers of the Year: Christi Hester, Kathleen Lucente, and Gail Watson.

At just 16 years old, Brance Tully experienced a day at work that he will never forget. In June 2020, Brance went to work at an automotive shop where he was cleaning the gutters from the rooftop. After falling through a skylight, his life was changed forever. As his employer’s workers’ compensation provider, Texas Mutual Insurance Company stepped in to help Brance get the medical care he needed to begin his journey to recovery.

Public meeting on US 290 from Oak Hill to Dripping Springs

The Texas Department of Transportation has proposed a project to widen and improve US 290 between FM 1826 and RM 12 in Travis and Hays counties. The proposed project aims to reconstruct and widen about 13 miles of US 290 from RM 1826 in southwest Austin to just west of RM 12 in Dripping Springs. The current four-lane, undivided roadway will transform into a six-lane divided facility with adjacent frontage roads and shared-use paths.
